Our Story.

Growing up in East Gippsland, Adam & Hayley have always been outdoor enthusiasts taking advantage of the trails on our doorstep. Spending years riding dirt bikes, exploring bush tracks and finding the adrenaline rush with mountain biking downhill, the idea spawned for a shuttle business at Mt Taylor. With a love of the MTB community and introducing new comers to the sport, Adam & Hayley are both PMBI Level one instructors and are passionate about the growth of mountain biking at Mt Taylor and broader East Gippsland.

Mount Taylor Trails

With a summit of 474m and many trails offering over 300m vertical drop the descents are engaging thanks to the variety of terrain and features. Intermediate level riders can expect to be descending for over 15 minutes per run on the more mellow trails while advanced riders chasing the fastest route down the mountain can opt for the steep double-black terrain.

All Mountain Track - The longest and easiest descending trail from the top of the hill. All mountain winds through the forest with countless switchbacks and granite rock slabs to keep things interesting.

Tip Run - Fast and flowing berms with plenty of jumps. This trail is sure to put a smile on every rider’s face, from speed demons who love getting airborne to absolute beginners. Tip Run is the only trail on Mt Taylor without rock gardens and all the jumps are easy to roll slowly. Tip Run is the best trail for kids to begin their MTB journey at Mt Taylor.

Flow Track - A challenging track with gap jumps and big berms. But don’t let the name fool you, Flow Track has many rocky & technical features to keep you on your toes the whole way down.

Gabe’s Track - Officially named “Loosen Up/Time to drop” but will always be known to the locals as “Gabe’s” after the bloke who built it. The track runs down a shady gully with loamy dirt and is all hand built with tight corners, off camber sections, timber drops and steep rock slabs. Things open up near the bottom with a fast, flowy section through the ferns before merging in with the Tip Run.

Chicken Run - An old school DH track. Steep, loose and rocky with sudden drops and deep ruts. Guaranteed to get the brakes cooking and the adrenaline pumping.

Mt Taylor DH - Host to many state & national level Downhill races. The DH has rock gardens aplenty and the biggest jumps on the hill. Advanced riders will find many different lines to follow between the rocks. A proper DH bike will be the fastest on course but many riders tackle this track on trail & Enduro bikes.

The Hurt Locker - This is what happens when a crazy Canadian who finds double-black trails too easy, gets bored during a pandemic. Built by a local legend wanting to push the limits, the trail follows a granite creek bed down a steep gully and features all sorts of insane rocky features and some scary, technical timber drops. Touted as possibly the most difficult sanctioned trail in Australia, we will certainly be impressed with anyone who can tame this trail.
